Draw2design is a technical drawing office from Nijverdal (Overijssel). The company of Raymond van Amersfoort and Bas ten Tusscher helps staircase suppliers and construction companies in the Netherlands and Belgium with the design of complex staircases and fences. Founder and co-owner Raymond van Amersfoort is clearly a fan of the software. He has been working with the programme since the company was founded in 2008. "When I was still working as an employee at Hoscon, I first became acquainted with HiCAD. At the time, I already found it a pleasant programme to work with, but over the years it has been improved even further.
Van Amersfoort refers, among other things, to the "equal parts recognition" with which parts lists can be easily created and the 2D/3D synchronisation, which makes HiCAD unique in the market. "The 2D/3D synchronisation is a major advantage over other packages. In addition, HiCAD is ideal for curves and other complex shapes. It makes HiCAD the ideal tool for our company."
The choice of HiCAD has not done Draw2design any harm. The company has grown from a one-man business to a drawing office with 12 employees. In addition, Van Amersfoort and his team are seen throughout the Netherlands and Belgium as specialists for the design of stairs, fences and other complex steel structures. "This is certainly due in large part to HiCAD. For me, HiCAD really is the Mercedes of drawing packages.
Van Amersfoort is also very satisfied with the cooperation with ISD. "With ISD is certainly not an 'easy money' relationship. Through the years we have really built something together," says Van Amersfoort, who regularly shares improvements with the team of ISD Group. "And the great thing is that something is actually done with it. Usually the helpdesk has a good workaround and a new function will be added later. That way, you help build better CAD software yourself."
